Access Management - MTZ® Access
We offer you tailor-made access control solutions that can be seamlessly integrated into your existing infrastructure. Our systems are not only secure, but also flexible and scalable to meet your unique needs.
- How it works
Easy access with MIDITEC: high security – little effort
Access control with MIDITEC works via a strong combination of software and hardware. With the MTZ® Access software, you can manage access authorizations for your employees, who use their transponder, card, pin code or fingerprint to smoothly enter the rooms for which access is granted.
Individually configurable weekly programs and time zones ensure that access permits can be precisely configured for each employee. The online journal and the access evaluation provide an overview of all current and past access bookings. When using area counting, it shows who is in which area and how many people are in the building in total.
All processes are automated as far as possible – but manual intervention is possible at any time. Access management can be expanded to include an external hazard alarm system or building security management.
Design your individual access system for your buildings with us – with readers, online and offline locks that optimally ensure the security of your buildings.

- MTZ® Access
Our Software
At the heart of the access management system is the MTZ® Access software module, which is used to precisely define and manage all access rights in terms of space and time – for each individual employee, according to access groups or combined.
In addition, MTZ®Access can be expanded at any time with optional modules such as visitor management or parking management. Thanks to versatile interfaces such as OPC UA, SAP, SAP HR-PDC as well as a powerful import and export module for MTZ BS, MTZ Access can be easily integrated into existing IT structures.
- MTZ® Access Features
Visitor management with MTZ® Visitor
Guests receive temporary access to certain rooms with their own card. Employees register their visitors in advance and provide important data. The reception staff have all the information at their fingertips. The MTZ® Time software can be used to check the presence of the contact person. The access permit expires automatically after the end of the visiting time.
- MTZ® Access Features
Parking management with MTZ® Car Park
MTZ®Car Park is a simple parking manager for employees. Access is controlled by access readers. At full capacity, entry is denied. The parking time is recorded and can be billed according to a fixed amount or the exact parking time in a flexible cycle.
- MTZ® Access Features
OPC UA interface
The OPC UA interface allows access to MIDITEC hardware. The MTZ® OPC UA Server provides information and controls devices. It supports modern mechanisms for security and performance. The OPC BIS interface connects with Bosch’s building management. The OPC Classic interface enables connection to existing software.

Locking systems for cabinet groups
Cabinets and lockers can also be secured with a new locking system. The authorization is made in the personnel master so that all assigned cabinets open when booking on the reader. Up to 5 doors can be connected to a controller, a control panel can secure up to 80 doors. Unlocked doors or break-ins are recorded and reported as a warning. The system is available as an access module and requires a separate license.

MTZBS OSS
OSS (Open Security Standards) is a manufacturer-independent interface specification in the field of electronic access control. The aim is to enable uniform communication between various system components – such as access readers, electronic locking cylinders and management systems. OSS allows products from different manufacturers to work seamlessly with each other, which offers planning freedom, future-proofing and investment protection for operators.

® MTZ ID CARD CREATION
With the creation of the ID card, the MTZ® BS is used to design and print ID cards. Various ID card templates can be created with background image, logo, personnel photo and selected fields from the personnel master. The jpg and gif image formats are supported. For the staff photos, existing digital images can be imported or current images from an IP camera can be saved – on request.

SAP
MIDITEC takes over HR-PDC data (download) as part of the SAP® interface and transfers booking data to SAP® (upload). It is an HR-PDC 4.5 integration interface certified with SAP® ECC 6.0 for the transfer of employee data and the recording of booking data. The data is transported via a so-called BAPI handler. The transferred personnel master data is entered in the personnel master. After processing the download file, the program initiates a card approval. This allows all cards from the personnel master with the corresponding current information.

Import and export module for the MTZ BS
The IO-Interface module can be used to perform a wide range of tasks for data exchange with third-party systems. Data exchange can be done in both directions: import and export of data. The IE interface module can handle two types of export. When exporting to text files, various variable formats such as CSV (Comma Separated Values) or static formats with fixed column lengths can be processed. The export can also be done to database tables of a third-party database. Sybase SQL Anywhere and ORACLE are currently supported. The import / export can be carried out once or time-controlled and repeatedly at fixed dates or at fixed time intervals (periodically). The import can also wait for a specific file to exist, and then process and rename it.

REST API
A REST API (Representational State Transfer – Application Programming Interface) makes it possible to integrate the MTZ Business Solution into other software solutions in a simple and standardized way. The API thus enables flexible, automated control and evaluation of the system – e.g. in smart building solutions or when integrated into central management platforms.
